Pigeon River FWA

With our first Stockbridge Audubon field trip of the year, ten birders braved a crazy mix of weather Saturday at Pigeon River FWA in Lagrange County. We went from blue skies one minute to blowing snow and whiteout conditions the next, and then back again. The only weather condition that remained constant was the bone chilling wind.
But ... we still had lots of fun and racked up quite a list of birds for a mid-March field trip. I do not have the total group list available, but I do know that it was right around 60 species. The following is my personal list of the birds that I saw:
