May 16, 2015 Magee Marsh and Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge in Oak Harbor, Ohio
Some of the field trip participants departed Fort Wayne early Saturday morning, May 16, for Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, while others left Friday morning for a longer birding experience. We also spent a little time at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. The group was somewhat scattered for most of Saturday, so the list of birds is incomplete. Furthermore, apparently birding was better on Friday; this list does not include the birds seen only on Friday. No attempt was made to keep numbers. Weather was mild, with occasional light rain.
