May 29, 2016 Eagle Marsh
Ed Powers and I were co-leaders of a group of 21 people who thought there might be some birds tonight at the west end of Eagle Marsh (7:00-9:00). It was quiet overall, and we found nothing especially notable. (Apparently, most folks didn't get the memo about bringing your own good birds.) But the nice breezes made for very comfortable hiking, and many people commented on enjoying just being out on such a gorgeous evening. The highlights were probably one each of Sora and mink, both of which were out on exposed mud for a bit, allowing most participants to eventually get at least decent looks. Our modest list:

Belted Kingfisher- 1 seen by some on the Fox Island side of the rail road
