Salamonie Reservoir
October 6, 2018

Five members of Stockbridge Audubon Society birded the Salamonie Reservoir, in Huntington and Wabash counties today. The day started out a little cool, but it quickly warmed up, and we were pleased to get 48 species for the day. I think we could have probably hit 50 species, but the trip got cut short by a torrential rainstorm. One of the coolest birds of the day was a nearly pure white Red-tailed Hawk, perched upon a bare tree snag.
