Eight birders from Stockbridge Audubon Society enjoyed a fairly cool, but pleasant day at Salamonie Reservoir today, led by Sandy Schacht and John Winebrenner. Much of the day was fairly quiet, but we did run into several nice pockets of birds here and there. Though Killdeer was the only shorebird, we found eight species of raptors, all the woodpeckers except for the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and thirteen warbler species. We ended the day with 65 species.
