Storms in June brought down many branches and whole trees at Fox Island, and Allen County park staff is still working at clearing trails. Many were still closed to Stockbridge's field trip, led by Sandy Schacht and me. Rain and rising wind further impeded our birding. Eight observers started the hike, eventually dribbling off to three.
