Chain O' Lakes State Park
September 22, 2018

Yesterday, seven Stockbridge Audubon members enjoyed a cool, but beautiful day birding Chain O' Lakes State Park, in Noble County. Though the breeze may have kept some songbirds down, we still ended up with a nice list of 44 species. Some of the highlights were a Yellow-billed Cuckoo (Thanks Ed!), four raptor species, including Broad-winged and Red-shouldered Hawks, and a nice little pocket of Warblers. We also almost had a sweep of woodpeckers, missing only the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
