September 5, 2015  Limberlost and Loblolly

Stockbridge and Robert Cooper Audubon Societies brought together 18 birders for a field trip to Limberlost Swamp in Adams and Jay Counties, and Loblolly Marsh in Jay County.  We were guided by Limberlost naturalist Curt Burnette and Terri Gorney.  It was a pleasant day, with no great surprises.  We spent the morning at Limberlost, then returned to Limberlost Historical Site visitor center in Geneva for lunch.  After lunch we went to Loblolly, where to group soon began to break up.

The group was often scattered, so the lists below may be incomplete.

Other birds seen by some in the Geneva area:
Canada Goose (surprisingly scarce)
Mourning Dove
American Kestrel  2
American Robin  5
