March 2, 2014, 2:00 p.m. Limberlost State Historic Site, Geneva IN
Alex Forsythe, Indiana Young Birder of the Year, 2013 will be speaking about the owls of Indiana.
"How many eyelids does an owl have? Are you stronger than an owl? How far can an owl see in broad daylight? What should you do if you find an injured owl? Learn more about these magnificent creatures and how to help them during this presentation." This presentation is sure to interest nature lovers of all ages. And Lynnanne Fager plans to bring one or more education owls for us to see up close.
April 1, 2014, 6:00 p.m. Movie Night at Fox Island
“The Central Park Effect” will be shown at the Nature Center at 6 p.m.“The Central Park Effect" is a film about birds and
people. Did you know that during spring and fall migrations over 200 birds stop over in Central Park each year? Every year a CBC is conducted in the park. The park is large enough to have different types of habitats. In this hour long film, you will meet some of the birders and birds of the park.

"Swift Night Out!", an informative program about Chimney Swifts will be held at Limberlost State Historic Site at 7:30 p.m. Stockbridge's own Alex Forsythe will be giving an entertaining and educational presentation, then we'll be going on a short walking tour to watch the Chimney Swifts perform their breathtaking aerial acrobatics. Limberlost will have night vision goggles and bionic ears available to make the show even more incredible! Bring your lawn chairs and video cameras and enjoy the show!

Stockbridge Audubon is a proud sponsor of the second annual Indiana Young Birder's Club conference. Stockbridge's own Alexandra Forsythe will be speaking. Her speech is titled, "Help! There's a hawk under my toilet!".

Sat Jul 19 Arrowhead Marsh and Arrowhead Prairie. Meet at 8:00 AM; park in the gravel parking lot at Arrowhead Prairie on the west side of Aboite Road, just north of the village of Aboite. We’ll look for Henslow’s Sparrow and Sedge Wren and other grassland birds. Finish by noon.
