• Lorenzo Kleine

    PRESIDENT

Lorenzo Kleine became involved with Stockbridge Audubon in 2018, when he moved to Fort Wayne. With a professional background in nonprofit organizations, he agreed to serve as president in 2020. Lorenzo caught the birding bug while taking a college course on birds in 2013 and spent much of his twenties birding and working odd jobs around the country. Since settling down in Fort Wayne, he has come to appreciate our local birding community and is excited that Stockbridge Audubon continues to grow and engage new audiences.

  • Lisa Silvey

    TREASURER

Lisa Silvey recently retired from Lincoln Financial Corporation after many years, working primarily as a Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst. In the past, she served on the board of Soarin' Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation for several years in various positions which included President and Treasurer. Lisa and her husband, John Winebrenner, have been birders for many years and enjoy traveling throughout the country birding, hiking, camping and enjoying all that nature has to offer. As a Stockbridge board member, I hope to help grow the membership in the chapter and encourage young people to explore nature and enjoy the great outdoors.

  • Michael Filosa

    DIRECTOR

Michael Filosa is an Air Force veteran and a Ball State grad living in Fort Wayne. He first picked up birdwatching with his wife in 2020 like many, but it really turned into a passion for him, alongside nature photography. He has been trying to find meaningful ways to spend my free time and what better way than to grow the Stockbridge chapter! Michael’s end goal is to get younger people involved. By doing this, Stockbridge Audubon can create a more environmentally conscious generation as they begin to get into roles that allow them to make change.

  • Greg Majewski

  • Cynthia Powers

    DIRECTOR

As a long time board member and past president, Cynthia hopes to contribute some institutional memory to the chapter. Cynthia majored in zoology at Oberlin College, and was a medical technologist at Lutheran Hospital Laboratory for 31 years. She completed the Indiana Master Naturalist course in 2007 and now helps teach the bird class for the Fox Island IMN course, with her husband Ed. They have also participated in Project FeederWatch since its inception. In 2015 Cynthia established the new Southwest Allen Christmas Bird Count, serving as its compiler. She also added the Big Sit to our fall schedule. Ed and Cynthia have two children, a musician and a zookeeper, and twin grandchildren. What the world needs is more birdwatchers!

  • John Winebrenner

    DIRECTOR

John Winebrenner’s professional background has been in the fields of electronics repair and data communications. John has previously served as a Director on the boards of both Stockbridge Audubon Society and Soarin' Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation. His interest in birding started way back in 1986, when he attended a naturalist-led bird hike at Turkey Run State Park. With his wife, Lisa Silvey, he enjoys birding, camping, and traveling throughout the country, visiting as many National Parks as they can. On Stockbridge field trips, John enjoys meeting beginner birders, and sharing his knowledge with them, just as more experienced birders helped him as he was starting out.
